STANDARD MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID COURSE – 2 DAY The 12-hour Standard Mental Health First Aid course is designed for adults in Sydney and across NSW who want to develop the knowledge, confidence and practical skills to support another adult who may be experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis. This evidence-based Mental Health First Aid course teaches participants how to recognise signs of mental health problems, provide appropriate initial support and encourage professional and other appropriate help until the crisis resolves or appropriate support is received. You will learn and practise a practical Mental Health First Aid action plan for responding to a range of mental health problems and mental health crises. The course is based on guidelines developed through expert consensus involving people with lived experience of mental health problems and mental health professionals. Who is this course for?
